Digging a small hole in a terracotta pot, you carefully remove the deep magenta begonia from its temporary plastic container and drop it in, patting fresh soil around it. The painted wine-coloured leaves are so dark they almost look like velvet, and as you step back, you smile at your floral haven. Blush pink rose bushes line the walls of your garden while dainty white Jasmine flowers flutter gently in the morning breeze. Pulling the water hose from its hook, you fix a nozzle onto the end, drizzling your plants with a light, refreshing spray.
Wiping your brow, you head inside to cool down. Stepping into the kitchen, you feel instant relief from the scorching sun, your charcoal-hued walls like deep shadows. Opening the fridge, you close your eyes with the door ajar for a moment, feeling the cold air against your dripping skin. Reaching inside, you grab the jug of chilled coffee you made earlier.

Taking a long slurp from your straw, you smile as the cold caffeine courses through your body and head back outside to soak up some sun.
