Higgildy Blue Edit

Hidden above the Higgildy House showroom in Harpenden, the Secret Showroom is a collaborative kitchen space created by interior designer  Zoe Brown, in partnership with Ennis & Brown, Mylands, and Dowsing & Reynolds.

Designed as an immersive interiors space rather than a traditional kitchen showroom, the project brings together bespoke cabinetry, expressive colour and layered finishes, centred around the new Higgildy Blue Bubble Chandelier.

A Kitchen Designed Around Character

The Secret Showroom was designed to feel personal, playful and full of character – combining beautifully crafted kitchens by Ennis & Brown with richly layered paint tones from Mylands and a curated mix of Dowsing & Reynolds lighting, hardware and electrical fittings.

At the centre of the scheme hangs our new Higgildy Blue Bubble Chandelier, introducing a sculptural focal point against cabinetry, paint and fittings in tonal blue shades. Throughout the space, Zoe has combined cooler mint and teal tones with warm antique brass lighting and hardware – an unexpected pairing that brings depth, warmth and balance to the scheme.

The richness of the brass softens the stronger colour moments, while the saturated blue finishes keep the overall feel contemporary rather than traditional. Alongside Neo Mint fittings, textured materials and decorative details, the result is a kitchen that feels layered, confident and deeply individual.

Rather than following a single finish or formula, the showroom celebrates a more creative approach to interiors by mixing colour, craftsmanship and personality in a way that feels both elevated and lived-in.
