Slotting a discreet black keycard into the lock, you hear the gratifying click and push open the heavy wooden door in anticipation. You’ve treated yourselves to an executive suite in a boutique hotel for the weekend, and the website promised one-of-a-kind décor in each room. Being a huge fan of interior design, you can’t wait to check out the styling details.
Gasping in awe, you turn to your partner with wide eyes and a huge grin spreading across your face. Wow. Coal black wood panelled walls provide a dramatic backdrop to an enormous queen-sized bed covered in plush antique gold bedding. Art Deco motifs swirl across the bedspread, enticing you to step forward and smooth your hands across its sumptuous velvety texture.
A giant potted palm stands majestically in the corner next to an enormous sash window that floods the room with light. It's breathtakingly striking. Your eyes zoom around the space, thirsty to drink in all the detail. Pulling out your phone, you quickly take a myriad of snaps.
Focusing on the bed, you notice the stunning Art Deco-style gold wall lights placed on either side of the mountain of plump pillows. Gold Grosvenor wall lights glimmer in the sunlight, picking up the other golden tones around the room. The opaque teardrop bulb virtually drips with extravagance.
