Drape and drop lights, or popularly known as spider lights are a superb way of casting light around a large room as the hooks can be placed as far away from the central ceiling rose as you like, as long as the fabric cables are long enough, meaning the glow can reach every corner. These kind of lights are also great if you want to focus the light somewhere in particular, like over a dressing area, a piece of artwork, a dining table or kitchen island unit. To achieve this look you will need an Antique Black ceiling hook and coordinating Antique Black components.
If you like a simpler, more minimalist approach to lighting an interior space, and don't require so much overhead light then consider selecting just one outlet point and drape the fabric cable and bulb where you need it.
