Scuffing your boot-clad feet along the path, you joyfully kick the drifts of crispy, crunchy leaves out of your way, watching as they float into the air and drift effortlessly back down to settle in your wake – a tidal wave of glorious coppery tones. Gripping your key, you slot it into the lock and twist. Flinging open the door to your cosy abode, you hurriedly unlace your boots and pad down the hallway into the kitchen, searching for warmth.
