Restocking the wine fridge, you twist the bottles until all the labels face upwards in uniform rows. Satisfied that all is in order, you close the door. Pushing yourself up from the squatting position, you grab the counter as a head rush overcomes you—time for a rehydrating glass of water.
Pressing the rim of your glass against the trigger for the ice machine, you lean against the candy-pink American-style fridge freezer. Taking huge thirst-quenching gulps, you soon feel refreshed and reinvigorated.
Resting your head back, you gaze at the Connaught copper low ceiling lights above you. Their five frosted bulbs glow majestically, casting a warm, comforting light around the kitchen.
Quite recovered, you wander over to the polished copper dimmer switch and turn the lights down slightly. The blush pink walls take on the peachy sunset hues that at once make you feel relaxed.
Sinking into a plush velvet chair, you reminisce about lounging in a bar on the Ibizan coastline, watching the sun sink below the horizon. The spontaneous burst of applause as the golden orb finally dips out of sight.
Overcome by nostalgia, you find a chillout playlist on your phone and decide to crack open one of the bottles of wine - now cooled to perfection.
