Ducking under the small door to your newly-renovated canal boat, you can’t help but grin. Moored on a beautifully scenic stretch of water, your cobalt haven overlooks the rolling hills and age-old trees of the Yorkshire Dales, and you shimmy inside to show your friends around.
Fresh blooms sit in a vintage jug on a small wooden table, whilst open shelving filled with hand-painted ceramics lines your sea-blue kitchenette. Grabbing the kettle, you perch it on the stove, waiting until a familiar whistle fills the air before pouring four mugs of coffee.
