Crunching through a blanket of crisp autumn leaves, you make clouds of frosty white swirls with your breath. Feeling the temperature drop further, you tuck your chin into your pink woollen scarf and do up the last toggle of your duffle coat, creating a barricade against the icy chill.
Your glove-clad hands clasp tightly around the dog's lead as your furry companion trots on ahead, desperate to return to the warmth of home before you're both enveloped in darkness.
