Role Overview
As Chief Marketing Officer and Co-Founder, Ally heads up our marketing team and is responsible for strategy and customer research. She works closely with the rest of the Brand and Marketing team to make sure we’re reaching the right audiences and providing the best possible journey for our customers.
Ally is also involved in creating content for our social media channels, giving people the inspiration and confidence they need to makeover their interiors and pushing our products and collections to even wider audiences.
Experience & Qualifications
Ally’s background is in marketing and brand management. She has a master’s degree in Digital Marketing and has completed multiple mini-MBA courses under acclaimed marketing professor, Mark Ritson.
Before co-founding Dowsing & Reynolds, Ally worked for 20 years as a digital marketing strategist, collaborating with major brands such as GlaxoSmithKline, Ribena, Lucozade, and the Met Office.
Ally co-founded Dowsing & Reynolds with James back in 2013 and became a full-time member of the team in 2018. At this point, she was instrumental in repositioning the brand from being fairly industrial to much more premium.
Ally ran the business as CEO for nearly four years before stepping back to focus more on marketing and the customer journey, which is where her passion has always been.
What about outside of work?
Ally has always had a desire to understand how a home can affect the way you feel and think, which she believes stems from her being neurodiverse. She is fascinated by all things interiors and spends a lot of time attending events and immersing herself in the interiors world – many of her friends are interior designers, too!
Ally loves people and enjoys nothing more than spending time with her friends and her young daughter. She’s deeply curious about people and loves to have meaningful conversations with everyone she meets.
