Shooing your wayward dog along the landing, you peer over the banister and catch sight of the black Baglioni pendant light fitting cascading from the high ceiling down through the stairwell.
Five glowing frosted bulbs hang from staggered lengths of black Italian fabric cable. The dark colour of your home’s walls makes the orbs look like they’re suspended in animation, floating like bubbles down your stairs, a sight that never fails to charm you.
Houdini hound safely tucked up in his bed for the night, you decide to make a calming night-time drink and retire to your blissful inky blue sanctuary for an early night. Twisting the dial of a nearby matt black dimmer switch, you lower the kitchen lights to a more conducive level for easing into slumber.
Drink and snack prepared, you turn the lights out completely and trudge upstairs to your bedroom. Passing a matching black rocker switch on the landing, you flick off the black Baglioni pendant light and turn on a nearby table lamp instead.
Immersed in your deep ultramarine space, you finally relax, dimming the black wall lights beside the bed so they’re barely on. Sipping the warm malty liquid with heavy eyelids, you know you’re not far from dropping off now.
